We’re thrilled to have received funding from the Arts Council for our upcoming Aldeburgh residency, working on an adaptation of Shakespeare’s A Winter’s Tale with composer Kim Ashton and director Nina Brazier. Following a lengthy audition period to find our five actors for our modern take on this Shakesperian classic, we’re now fully cast and ready and raring to get going! The show will be under an hour, and will pick out key themes from the play, integrating musicians and actors to find new dramatic possibilities in this already highly charged work.
There’s an open session at the end of our residency to showcase the work in progress on 10 September, leading us into rehearsals for the show itself on 13 December at the Cockpit Theatre.
